Ingredients

1 c. soft butter
2 c. all-purpose flour (not self-rising flour)
1/3 c. whipping cream
granulated sugar
Preparation

Mix thoroughly butter, cream and flour.
Cover and chill.
Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Roll about 1/3 of dough at a time 1/8-inch thick on floured surface.
(Keep remaining dough refrigerated until ready to roll.)
Cut into 1 1/2-inch circles.
Transfer rounds to a piece of waxed paper that is heavily covered with granulated sugar.
Turn over to coat well with sugar.
Place on ungreased cookie sheets and prick about 4 times with a fork.
(Important!
They will not cook properly if you don't prick them!)
Bake 7 to 9 minutes (depending on your oven - mine took the full 9 minutes) or just until set but not browned.
Cool and put pairs together with Creamy Filling. Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
