Heavenly Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can dark sweet cherries, pitted and chopped
    1 c. Cool Whip
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
    1 c. miniature marshmallows
    1 small can chunky pineapple
    1 c. finely chopped pecans
Preparation
    Drain cherries.
    Reserve 1/3 cup cherry liquid.
    Heat liquid. Add cream cheese to melt.
    Mix remaining ingredients.
    When cream cheese has melted; add to mixture.
    Chill 3 hours before serving.
