Oatmeal Crunchies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)
1 egg, lightly beaten
3/4 c. quick cooking oats
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine flour, granulated sugar and soda. Add brown sugar, shortening, egg and vanilla, beat well. Stir in oats and nuts. Form dough into small balls, place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 7-12 minutes. Makes 3 1/2 dozen.
