Applesauce Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening
3 eggs
3 c. sugar with unsweetened applesauce or 2 c. sugar with sweetened applesauce
3 c. applesauce
4 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. nuts
1 small bottle maraschino cherries
dates (optional)

Preparation

Mix ingredients in order given.
Pour into 3 pans and bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour and 25 minutes.
