Baked Tomatoes With Mushroom Topping - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 Tbsp. chopped bacon
1 small onion, chopped
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 1/2 c. toasted bread cubes (may use Pepperidge Farm stuffing)
3 medium whole, unpeeled tomatoes
1/4 c. milk
Preparation

Fry bacon until crisp.
Remove to chop.
Brown chopped onion in bacon grease.
Drain.
Mix soup and milk.
Cut tomatoes in half crosswise.
Place pieces, cut side up, in casserole.
Mix bacon, onion, half the bread cubes and milk-soup mixture.
Top tomatoes with this sauce.
Sprinkle remaining bread cubes on top.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
