Brer Rabbit'S Carrots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 large carrots
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    3 Tbsp. brown sugar
Preparation
    Scrape carrots with vegetable peeler; cut into penny slices. Place carrots in saucepan and cover with cold water.
    Add salt (you can leave salt out).
    Cover pan and heat over medium-high heat until water starts to boil.
    Turn to low.
    Remove cover and cook 15 more minutes.
