Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sifted flour
    2 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 c. vegetable oil
    3 c. unsweetened applesauce, heated
    1/2 c. raisins
    4 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Sift together first the flour, soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, cocoa and oil in a large bowl.
    Blend applesauce, oil and sugar and heat.
    Beat into dry ingredients.
    Stir in raisins and walnuts.
    Turn batter into a greased and floured 9 x 13-inch pan or two 8-inch pans.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Then reduce heat to 375\u00b0 and bake 15 minutes longer.
    Use your own desired icing.
