Icebox Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. flour
    2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    3 eggs
    2 c. nuts
    1 lb. oleo (quarters)
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. brown sugar
Preparation
    Soften margarine; add vanilla, sugar and eggs.
    Stir in flour. Add nuts.
    Do not chop nuts.
    Larger pieces look more festive when baked.
    Pack dough into an 8-inch square wax paper lined pan. Chill overnight.
    Divide dough into 3 slabs.
    Slice 1/4-inch thick.
    Bake on a cookie sheet approximately 8 minutes at 350\u00b0. Should be crisp and light brown.
    Can be frozen and baked as needed.
    Use a variety of nuts.
    Black walnuts are very tasty.
