Boston Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dried navy beans (about 2 c.)
    1/2 lb. salt pork
    1 medium onion
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    3 Tbsp. molasses
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. dry mustard
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Place beans in large saucepan and cover with water.
    Heat and boil for 2 minutes, then remove the beans from heat and let soak for 1 hour.
    Then add water, if necessary, to cover beans and simmer, uncovered, for about 50 minutes until tender.
    Don't overcook them.
    Reserve liquid.
