Sweet And Sour Red Cabbage - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 small red cabbage, shredded
2 cooking apples, cored and thinly sliced
2 medium onions, thinly sliced
salt and pepper
2 tsp. sugar
2 small bay leaves
1/4 tsp. dried thyme
2 tsp. wine vinegar
4 tsp. sour cream (optional)
2 tsp. Port
Preparation

Place
cabbage in casserole dish in layers of apple and onion. Season
each
layer
with salt, pepper and sugar.\tPut herbs
in middle.
Pour Port and vinegar over finished layers. Cover and cook
at
300\u00b0 for 2 hours.
If desired, sour cream may be stirred in just before serving.
Serves 4.
