Katie Fleming'S Molasses Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. molasses
    2 eggs
    butter the size of an egg
    1/2 c. water
    1 scant tsp. soda
    1 tsp. each of all spices
    2 c. flour
Preparation
    Mix sugar and eggs.
    Add molasses and butter.
    Mix well and then add the balance of ingredients until smooth.
    Bake in a 300\u00b0 to 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes or until firm in middle.
    Fills one square pan.
