Cherry Pudding Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. melted shortening
    2 c. seeded cherries
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 c. cherry juice or juice and water
Preparation
    Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
    Add milk and melted shortening.
    Stir until smooth.
    Spread in greased baking pan 12 x 8 x 2-inch.
    Spread cherries over batter then last mix 1/2 cup sugar, butter and cherry juice.
    Bring to boil and pour over cherries.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
