Pound Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter
1/3 c. Crisco
3 c. sugar
5 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
3 c. flour
1 c. milk
1 tsp. lemon extract
1/4 tsp. mace
Preparation

Cream butter, Crisco and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well.
Add dry ingredients and milk alternating to creamed mixture, beating after each addition.
Add flavorings and mace.
Spoon batter in a greased and floured tube pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 325\u00b0 and bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Cool and remove from pan.
Top with sifted powdered sugar.
