Boston Cream Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small bottle white corn syrup
    3 pt. white sugar
    1 pt. light cream
    1 small jar maraschino cherries, drained
    1 to 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Boil corn syrup, sugar and cream until it forms a solid ball in a cup of cold water.
    Beat hard by hand until it wants to set. Add cherries and nuts.
    Mix well.
    Pour into a buttered cake pan and chill.
    Cut into desired pieces and store in a tight container.
