Squash Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 c. squash, chopped
    2 green bell peppers, chopped
    1/2 c. salt
    1 c. celery, chopped
    3 c. onion, chopped
    1 jar pimento, drained
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    2 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. mustard
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
    3 Tbsp. pickling spice
Preparation
    Sprinkle squash and bell pepper with salt.
    Let set overnight in ice water.
    Rinse and drain well.
    Add celery, onion, pimento, sugar, vinegar, mustard, turmeric and pickling spice.
    Mix all ingredients together.
    Bring to boil; turn heat down and simmer for 30 minutes.
    Put in jars and seal.
