Salmon Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 medium potatoes, diced
    5 medium onions, diced
    1 tall can salmon, deboned, dark skin removed and flaked
    1/2 stick margarine
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 tall cans evaporated milk
Preparation
    Place diced potatoes and onions in large pot; cover with water.
    Add salt, pepper and margarine.
    Bring to boil.
    Turn heat down; simmer an hour or so.
    Add salmon; cook about 15 minutes. Add milk; heat until very hot.
    Do not boil.
    Serve with saltines.
