Canned Apple Pie Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    10 c. water
    1 c. cornstarch
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    sliced apples
Preparation
    Cook the first 6 ingredients until bubbly. Add the lemon juice.
    Put the sliced apples in jar and fill with cooked sauce. Process 20 minutes in water bath.
    Makes 7 quarts.
