Butterscotch Slices - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2/3 c. brownulated sugar
    1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 egg
Preparation
    Sift the flour, baking\tpowder and salt together.
    Cream the butter, gradually beat in
    sugar.
    Beat
    until fluffy.
    Add vanilla and egg.
    Mix well, then
    stir in flour mixture.
    Shape into rolls about 1 1/2 inches
    in
    diameter.
    Wrap in wax paper and
    chill 2 hours.
    Cut
    into
    1/8-inch
    slices
    on
    ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 7 minutes until brown.
