Shortbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 sticks butter (no margarine)
    1 c. confectioners sugar (heaping)
    1 egg yolk
    1 c. nuts
    4 c. plain flour, sifted
Preparation
    Soften butter and add sugar and egg yolks; mix well.
    Add flour until all is worked in.
    Add finely chopped nuts.
    Place dough down until 1/4-inch deep on a cookie sheet and score dough with a fork.
    Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour in a 325\u00b0
    oven.
    Cut into squares while hot and let cool in the pan.
