Caramel Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1/4 c. cream
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
Preparation
    Melt butter or margarine in heavy saucepan over low heat. Blend in brown sugar and cream.
    Stirring constantly, bring to boiling and cook until sugar is completely dissolved, about 1 minute.
    Remove from heat and cool to lukewarm (110\u00b0).
    Gradually add the sifted confectioners sugar, beating until blended after each addition.
    If necessary, continue beating until thick enough to spread.
    Yields 1 1/2 cups.
