Bread Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. milk, scalded
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 tsp. salt
    4 c. white bread crumbs
    4 slightly beaten eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. raisins (optional)
    3/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Soak bread crumbs in hot milk for 5 minutes.
    Mix in butter, salt and sugar; pour over eggs.
    Add vanilla and raisins, if desired, and mix well.
    Pour into greased 2-quart baking dish. Set dish in large shallow pan of hot water and bake at 350\u00b0 until firm, about 50 minutes.
    Serve warm.
