Buttermilk Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 cakes yeast
1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. lukewarm buttermilk
1/2 c. melted shortening
5 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
Preparation

Crumble yeast into bowl; add sugar and buttermilk, stirring until sugar dissolves.
Stir in shortening.
Mix sifted flour, salt, and baking soda; stir into first mixture.
Allow to raise in a warm place for about 1/2 hour.
Shape as desired, brush with melted butter.
Allow to raise again on greased pans until double in bulk.
Bake at 400\u00b0 about 20 minutes.
