Large Batch Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
6 c. whole bran or Bran Buds
2 c. boiling water
1 qt. buttermilk
4 eggs, beaten
5 c. flour
5 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Pour boiling water into large bowl with sugar, shortening and bran.
Stir until shortening is dissolved.
Add eggs, buttermilk and dry ingredients.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
Fill cups 3/4 full.
Makes about 4 dozen.
