Whole Peach Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 lb. small ripe peaches
    6 c. sugar
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Do not peel peaches.
    Sprinkle sugar over peaches that have been washed and drained well.
    Pour water over sugar.
    Cook very slowly to avoid scorching, about 3 to 4 hours.
    You can let set overnight, then put in pint jars.
    I put mine up hot so the lids will seal.
