Almond Butter Crunch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    1/2 c. coarsely chopped toasted almonds
    4 oz. milk chocolate, chopped (3/4 c.)
    1/2 c. finely chopped, toasted almonds
Preparation
    Melt butter in a heavy 2-quart saucepan.
    Add sugar.
    Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
    Add 3 tablespoons water and corn syrup.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring often, to soft crack stage (290\u00b0) about 12 minutes.
    (Watch carefully after 280\u00b0.)
    Remove from heat; quickly stir in coarse nuts.
    Spread on buttered baking sheet.
