Ingredients

1 (4 serving size) pkg. Jell-O vanilla pudding
2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
2 1/2 c. milk
25 vanilla wafers
2 large bananas, sliced
2 egg whites
dash of salt
1/4 c. sugar
Preparation

Combine pudding mix, egg yolks and milk in saucepan.
Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to a full boil.
Remove from heat.
Arrange layer of vanilla wafers on bottom of 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
Add a layer of banana slices and of pudding.
Continue layering wafers, bananas and pudding, ending with pudding.
Beat egg whites with salt until foamy throughout. Gradually beat in sugar and continue beating until mixture will form stiff shining peaks.
Spoon lightly onto pudding, sealing edges well.
Bake at 425\u00b0 for 5 to 10 minutes or until meringue is lightly browned.
