Cupcakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter or shortening
    1 c. milk
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    4 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Thoroughly cream shortening and sugar; add eggs one at a time, beating after each.
    Add sifted dry ingredients alternately with milk.
    Fill greased cupcake pans half full.
    Bake in moderate oven.
    Cool.
    Frost with Cream Cheese Frosting or plain, if desired.
