Bacon And Cheese Corn Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. yellow corn bread mix
    1 1/2 c. milk
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/4 c. butter, softened
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. crushed red chilies (optional)
    1 c. shredded sharp cheese
    5 slices bacon, cooked
Preparation
    Heat cornmeal and milk over medium heat until thick and dry, stirring frequently for about 3 minutes.
    Spoon cornmeal mixture into a bowl.
    Add the remaining milk, butter and eggs and beat until smooth.
    Stir in salt and baking powder (eliminate if you use a yellow corn bread mix).
    Add red chilies, if used.
    Stir in cheese and bacon and pour into a casserole dish or cake pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for about 35 minutes or until brown.
