Congo Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. box brown sugar
    2/3 c. margarine, softened
    3 eggs
    2 3/4 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Combine first 2 ingredients; stir over low heat until mixed and melted.
    Cool slightly.
    Beat in eggs, one at a time.
    Mix together flour, salt and baking powder.
    Add to warm mixture and stir.
    Add nuts and chocolate chips; mix well.
    Pour into a greased 10 x 14-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
