Marinated Slaw - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 to 2 lb. shredded cabbage
2 Tbsp. chopped pimentos
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
3/4 c. chopped onion
1 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar
1/2 c. water
1 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation

In large bowl, mix cabbage, pimentos, green pepper and onion. Combine in saucepan and simmer 20 to 25 minutes or until thick: sugar, vinegar, water and mustard seed.
Pour over cabbage mix and refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.
Slaw will keep several days.
