Microwave Pineapple Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 c. packed brown sugar
1 can pineapple (reserve juice)
12 maraschino cherries
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
2/3 c. unsweetened pineapple juice
water
Preparation

Melt butter in a 9 x 13-inch glass cake dish in microwave oven (about 30 seconds at High).
Mix brown sugar into melted butter. Cook, uncovered, until brown sugar melts (about 2 minutes at High).
Arrange pineapple slices and maraschino cherries in dish.
