Peanut Butter Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. peanut butter
    1/2 c. butter or oleo
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. powdered sugar
Preparation
    Mix together peanut butter, butter, corn syrup, vanilla and salt.
    Gradually stir in powdered sugar.
    Knead until smooth.
    May add 3/4 cup chopped peanuts, if desired.
    (Use chunky peanut butter and omit peanuts.)
    Pack into greased 8 x 8-inch pan.
    When firm, cut into pieces.
    Makes about 2 pounds.
