Breakfast Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. sifted flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
Preparation
    Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt into a large bowl. Combine buttermilk, egg and butter. Add to flour mixture and stir just until all ingredients are moistened. Fill greased 2 1/2-inch muffin cups about 2/3 full. Bake in preheated 400\u00b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Serve warm with butter or preserves. Makes 1 dozen.
