Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. margarine or butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/4 tsp. ginger
Preparation

Cream
shortening and butter;
add sugar and eggs.
Mix thoroughly.
Stir
in
milk and vanilla.
Sift dry ingredients together.
Stir into creamed mixture until well blended.
Wrap dough in foil and refrigerate until ready to bake.
Start oven at hot 425\u00b0.
Roll dough about 1/8-inch thick.
Makes about 8 dozen cookies.
