Ingredients

3/4 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
4 Tbsp. molasses
2 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
Preparation
-
Mix together; form in balls.
Press down slightly with glass dipped in sugar, if preferred.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 10 minutes.
