Snickerdoodles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 3/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/3 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    3 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and beat thoroughly. Combine flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt.
    Gradually blend dry ingredients into cream mixture.
    Chill dough.
    Roll into walnut size balls.
    Mix cinnamon and sugar; roll balls in mix. Place 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
    Cookies will puff up at first, then flatten out with crinkled tops.
    Yields 5 dozen.
