2 c. sugar
1/3 c. butter, softened
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
2 c. blackberries
2 c. boiling water
ice cream
Preparation

Cream 1 cup sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add flour, baking powder, salt and milk. Mix well and spoon batter into a 3-quart casserole dish. Sprinkle blackberries and 1 cup sugar over batter. Add water. Bake at 350\u00b0 about 1 hour or until done. Serve warm; top with ice cream. Makes 6 servings.
