Pumpkin Pineapple Loaf - cooking recipe

Non-stick cooking spray
2 1/2 C. granulated sugar
1/2 C. butter or margarine, softened
15 oz. can pumpkin
8 1/4 oz. crushed pineapple, undrained
4 large eggs
3 1/2 C. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
2 1/2 C. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cut in 1/2 C. lard, do NOT substitute other shortening.
Add 1 cup thick buttermilk (all at once).
