Ingredients

3/4 c. margarine
1 1/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3 beaten eggs
1 1/2 c. chunky peanut butter
5 c. old-fashioned oats (not quick)
1 c. whole wheat flour
2 tsp. soda
1 1/2 c. chopped dates
1 pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation

Melt butter; blend in sugars, eggs and peanut butter.
Add oats, flour, soda, dates and chocolate chips.
Mixture will be sticky.
Drop on greased cookie sheet with ice cream scoop or a large spoon.
Flatten slightly; each cookie should be about 3-inches in diameter.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
Remove to cooling rack.
Makes 2 dozen big cookies.
