Scones - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
3/4 c. sour milk or buttermilk
Preparation

Sift dry ingredients together.
Cut shortening into flour mix. Beat egg and sour milk together and mix into dry ingredients quickly.
Pat out on floured board 1/2-inch thick.
Cut 3-inches in diameter.
Bake on ungreased sheet at 425\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
