Potato Leek Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter
    3 c. sliced leek onions
    3 Tbsp. flour
    2 qt. hot water or 6 c. hot water plus 2 c. milk, which is added at end
    1/2 c. whipped cream or sour cream
    1 Tbsp. salt
    pepper to taste
    4 c. peeled roughly chopped potatoes
    2 Tbsp. parsley
Preparation
    Melt butter; add onions and leeks.
    Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
    Blend in flour 2 minutes; gradually add 1 cup hot water. Blend thoroughly.
    Add vegetables and rest of water.
    Stir and add salt and pepper.
    Cook 40 minutes.
    Now, add 2 cups milk and sour cream before serving.
