Au Gratin Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 or 5 new potatoes (2 1/2 c.)
    5 Tbsp. butter
    4 Tbsp. flour
    1 c. milk
    1 c. cream
    salt and pepper to taste
    croutons
    paprika
    2 Tbsp. grated American cheese
    1 small can button mushrooms, diced small
    2 or 3 pimentos, well drained
    parsley
Preparation
    Make white sauce of butter, flour, milk, cream, salt and pepper. When thick, add cheese, mushrooms and pimentos and cook 2 minutes. Add potatoes, diced very small and cook 2 more minutes. Put in buttered casserole dish. A half hour before serving, cover top well with croutons. Sprinkle top with paprika. Heat in 325\u00b0 oven 30 minutes or until croutons are brown. Dot with parsley and serve. Can make day before and heat just before serving.
