Orange Date Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
4 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. fresh orange juice
2 Tbsp. grated orange peel
1 c. pecans
1 pkg. chopped dates

Preparation

Mix all ingredients well.
Bake in a very slow oven at about 300\u00b0 in a foil-lined tube pan.
Before taking it out of pan and while still warm, pour topping over it and let stand overnight in pan.
