Apple Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 to 7 tart apples
3/4 to 1 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. enriched flour
dash of salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1 recipe Plain Pastry
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Preparation

Pare apples and slice thin.
Mix sugar, flour, salt and spices; add to apples.
Fill 9-inch pastry-lined pie pan.
Dot with butter. Adjust top crust.
Bake in hot oven (400\u00b0) for 50 minutes.
If apples aren't tart, add 1 tablespoon lemon juice or grated lemon peel, if desired.
