My Parent'S Skillet Kraut - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 qt. sauerkraut
1/2 lb. bacon
sugar (1/2 c. or more)
Preparation

Chop bacon and fry until crisp.
Pour off most of grease.
Add the sauerkraut (drained partially) to the bacon and fryings.
Cook over moderate heat, stirring frequently, to avoid scorching.
Add sugar gradually as it is cooking, tasting until you achieve the sweet and sour taste you prefer.
