Wilted Leaf Lettuce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 slices bacon
    1/2 c. sliced green onions
    1/4 c. vinegar
    4 tsp. sugar
    8 c. leaf lettuce, torn in bite-sized pieces
    1 hard-boiled egg, chopped
Preparation
    Cook bacon; drain and crumble.
    Reserve drippings.
    Add onions to drippings and cook until tender.
    Add vinegar, 1/4 cup water, sugar and bacon to the onions.
    Stir until it boils.
    Pour hot dressing over lettuce.
    Toss to coat.
    Garnish with chopped egg. Serves 6.
