Caldo Con Queso - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. water
    1/2 (4 oz.) can diced green chili peppers, drained
    1 small tomato, peeled and chopped
    1 Tbsp. dried minced onion
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of potato soup
    1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk (2/3 c.)
    3/4 c. shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Preparation
    In a 2-quart saucepan combine water, green chili peppers, tomato, onion, garlic powder and pepper.
    Bring to boiling; reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer 5 minutes.
    Stir in cream of potato soup and evaporated milk; heat through.
    Add cheese, stirring until melted.
    Makes 4 side dish servings.
