Ingredients

1 box dates
1 stick margarine or butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. Rice Krispies
1 c. broken pecans
1 c. coconut
Preparation

Put margarine, sugar, egg and dates in a saucepan; cook on low heat until dates are about dissolved.
Stir often.
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, Rice Krispies and nuts.
Make into balls and roll in coconut.
Makes about 4 dozen, depending on size of ball.
They keep well.
