Ingredients

3/4 c. chopped dates
1/2 c. diced candied cherries
1/2 c. diced candied pineapple
3/4 c. walnuts or pecans
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. sour milk
Preparation

Sift flour, soda and salt.
Cream Crisco.
Add sugar.
Cream well.
Add egg.
Beat until fluffy.
Add vanilla.
Stir in flour, soda and salt with sour milk.
Add fruit and nuts.
Drop onto greased cookie sheet with teaspoon.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 13 minutes. Makes approximately 4 dozen.
