Ingredients

1 c. butter
5 hard-cooked egg yolks, mashed
2 1/2 c. flour
1 egg, beaten with 1 tsp. milk
3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
finely chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolks and vanilla.
Stir in flour, mixed with salt.
Chill dough until it is firm enough to roll.
Set oven at 350\u00b0.
Lightly grease cookie sheets.
On floured cloth, roll out dough 1/4-inch thick.
Cut with small cookie cutters.
Place on cookie sheets 1-inch apart.
Bake for 10 minutes or until golden.
Makes about 48 cookies.
